The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.
How our world came crashing down four years ago.
Four Years Ago my wife shared the following to Facebook.
Baby Knox Update:
Things went terribly wrong as they were starting his procedure.
He went into cardiac arrest. Coded they did CPR (Dr. said for what felt like forever) kept pushing adrenaline in him and were able to bring him back. They don’t think there will be brain damage from this but are still running test.
They are stopping everything for today. He is being admitted into CVICU. There is a good chance this will happen again today as he come off of the anesthesia. They are keeping him intubated and sedated and monitoring his Blood pressure extremely close. However everyone is on edge.
They have consulted the surgeon that did his open heart surgery. They are going to have to go in surgically (hopefully through his neck) for his next procedure. They are running several test to make sure they can minimize the number of interventions. Each time he goes under anesthesia he is under extreme risk of cardiac arrest. Knox will remain in the CVICU until his surgery.
This was the second part of our major journey on the road with Knox. I do not have enough space to say how good God has been in the middle of all of this. He still has so much to overcome but he has continued to fight and God has continued to answer prayer.
Psalm 126:3 (ESV)
"The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad."
